A portion of Ken Loch Golf Links could be developed for related uses under a proposal endorsed by Lombard trustees, who also agreed to designate the course as open space.
In a four-to-two vote, Lombard trustees accepted a January recommendation from the village’s Plan Commission to designate the property as open space, but to allow 25 percent to be developed for what was termed accessory uses. The May 16 vote was a first reading and will come back to the board at its next meeting on June 6 for a final vote.
