The final judging for the Best Decorated Christmas House Contest is almost here! Formal judging will take place during the evening of December 22nd by yours truly on what house best exemplifies the spirit of Christmas in our sleepy little subdivision. I don’t have a Santa’s sleigh available to ride around in (yet), so I will be driving around Butterfield in the next best thing — a white 2012 Sonata — taking photos of all of the houses that have been nominated, plus a few of those that I think deserve honorable mention. As of now, December 19th, the following houses are in the lead:

Though it is not too late to add an extra elf or wise man or two to your display, all judging will be “frozen” after 10 p.m. this Sunday night, so get decorating if you want to have your house featured in our next newsletter and on our website as Butterfield’s “Best Decorated Christmas House”.
